Buddhist Wedding in Germany
“Your purpose in life is to find your purpose and give your whole heart and soul to it”. It is one of the sentences that I like most from buddhism. I can proudly say, that after many years searching for my purposes in my work, I think I found it, but what I am pretty sure is that I am giving my whole heart and soul to it.
When Shelley contacted me last year with her wedding plans, a buddhist wedding with a celebration at the purest New Orleans style in the middle of Germany? I said to myself, wow, that sounds interesting.
Shelley, original from New Orleans, and Martin, born in Oranienbaum-Woerlitz are a very special couple, who decided to celebrate their wedding in a very authentic and different way. Shelley is a photographer, Martin, a doctor. They have much sensitivity for art, see life with prism glasses and are crazy for each other. Martin is also a musician and he played the violin at the ceremony while Shelley was coming in with her dad. Shelley’s family and friends came all the way from America, and from many parts of the world to share with them this special occasion. Oranienbaum-Woerlitz is a charming place full of canals, gondolas, castles, gothic houses … a pearl between the cities of Leipzig and Berlin. Hope you enjoy it !
